Avalanche Studios Partners with Leading Nordic Entertainment Company
STOCKHOLM, APRIL 24, 2017 – Leading open world game developer Avalanche Studios (Just Cause, Mad Max, theHunter) partners with Nordisk Film, a leading Nordic entertainment company. Nordisk Film will invest more than USD 10M for a minority ownership share in Avalanche Studios.
With the investment from Nordisk Film, Avalanche Studios will be able to accelerate its growth in the international gaming market.
Founded in 2003 by Christofer Sundberg and Linus Blomberg, Avalanche Studios has established itself on the forefront of open world game development. It creates games based on unique, proprietary technology named Apex – Avalanche Open World Engine. The studio currently employs more than 270 people with offices in Stockholm and New York City.

A leading film producer, film distributor and cinema operator in the Nordic region, Nordisk Film has founded Nordisk Film Games with an ambitious growth strategy of investing in Nordic gaming studios.
